Lahinch Golf Club

Lahinch Golf Club

Known affectionately as the “St Andrews of Ireland,” Lahinch is a true links masterpiece where history, tradition, and natural beauty converge. First laid out in 1892 and refined by Old Tom Morris and Alister MacKenzie, Lahinch embodies the spirit of links golf: quirky, rugged, and endlessly captivating.

From the opening holes along Liscannor Bay to the famous blind shots of the 4th (“Klondyke”) and 5th (“Dell”), Lahinch challenges golfers to embrace creativity and trust in the design. Its rolling dunes, ever-changing winds, and spectacular Atlantic backdrop ensure no two rounds are ever the same.

The course reaches its crescendo with a stirring back nine, where holes weave between towering dunes and the ocean comes back into play. Every step feels like walking through golf’s living history, a place where legends have played and every visitor leaves with stories etched in memory.

At Cypress & Salt, we design Lahinch experiences that blend championship golf with authentic Irish charm. From stays in coastal towns to private pub evenings filled with music and storytelling, we ensure your Lahinch journey is as soulful off the course as it is exhilarating on it.
