Royal Dublin Golf Club | Championship Links
Royal Dublin Golf Club is Ireland’s oldest links, founded in 1885 and redesigned by Harry Colt in 1920. Set on Bull Island in Dublin Bay, it is a classic out-and-back links that tests accuracy and consistency more than brute strength.
The course is famed for its flat terrain, penal rough, and strategic bunkering. Its finishing stretch, particularly the par-4 18th running alongside the clubhouse, has provided drama for generations of Irish championships.
Royal Dublin has hosted numerous Irish Opens and has long been associated with the great Christy O’Connor Sr. It is a course steeped in tradition and history, offering a quintessential links challenge just minutes from Dublin city center.
At Cypress & Salt, we design Royal Dublin itineraries that combine links heritage with world-class hospitality. From luxury city stays to private cultural experiences, we ensure your Royal Dublin journey is unforgettable in every detail.
