Kapalua Plantation Course
Kapalua Bay Course | Resort Ocean Links
The Plantation Course at Kapalua is Hawaii’s crown jewel of championship golf. Designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw in 1991, it’s famous as the annual home of the PGA TOUR’s Tournament of Champions each January. Spread across 750 acres of former pineapple fields, the course cascades down hillsides with ocean views from nearly every hole.
Plantation is big golf: wide fairways, dramatic elevation changes, and wind that shifts strategy daily. The par-5 18th, tumbling downhill with the Pacific in the backdrop, is one of the most iconic finishing holes in the world.
Cypress & Salt crafts Plantation experiences that match the course’s stature. Clients stay in private Maui estates or luxury resorts, enjoy curated luaus and farm-to-table dining, and relax with spa treatments. Off-course adventures include yacht charters, volcano helicopter tours, and private cultural encounters. Plantation at Kapalua is championship golf wrapped in the full measure of Hawaiian luxury.
