Chambers Bay Golf Course
Chambers Bay Golf Course | Championship Links
Chambers Bay redefined American links golf when it opened in 2007. Set along the sweeping shoreline of Puget Sound near Tacoma, Washington, the course is carved through a former sand and gravel quarry, giving it a landscape unlike anywhere else in the United States. Designed by Robert Trent Jones II, Chambers Bay is bold, rugged, and built on a grand scale — fescue-covered dunes, massive bunkers, and rolling fairways stretch toward the water with Mount Rainier looming in the distance.
It quickly became a modern classic, hosting the 2010 U.S. Amateur and the 2015 U.S. Open. Its wide fairways encourage creativity, but the sloping greens and coastal winds demand precision and imagination. The walk alone — with views of the Sound at every turn — is worth the journey. Signature holes like the cliffside par-3 15th and the tumbling, uphill par-5 18th are unforgettable tests.
At Cypress & Salt, we elevate Chambers Bay beyond the golf. Guests enjoy five-star accommodations in Seattle or Tacoma, private transfers to the course, and curated culinary experiences celebrating the Pacific Northwest’s famed seafood and wine culture. Off the course, we arrange private yacht charters on Puget Sound, helicopter tours over Mount Rainier, or VIP brewery and vineyard tastings. Playing Chambers Bay with Cypress & Salt isn’t just championship golf — it’s an immersion into the very best of the Pacific Northwest.
