Designed by Kyle Phillips and opened in 2000, it debuted in the world’s Top 100 and continues to rank among the finest seaside layouts anywhere. Though a relative newcomer compared to Scotland’s ancient links, Kingsbarns has already earned championship pedigree as co-host of the Alfred Dunhill Links alongside Carnoustie and the Old Course. Highlights include the par-5 12th, where the green clings to the edge of the surf, and the par-3 15th, a postcard-perfect hole played directly over the waves. The closing 18th, a long uphill par 4 over a natural “Condi” burn, is as exacting as it is unforgettable.
