Quinta do Lago - North Course
Quinta do Lago North Course
Quinta do Lago North Course is a masterpiece of modern redesign, blending strategy, beauty, and precision within the Algarve’s iconic resort. Originally built in 1974 and completely redesigned in 2014 by Beau Welling in collaboration with Ryder Cup captain Paul McGinley, it was created to deliver a course that challenges professionals while remaining playable for everyday golfers. The result is a thoughtful and visually stunning experience set among umbrella pines, lakes, and gently rolling terrain.
The course rewards intelligent play over power. Four par fives, a collection of strong par threes, and several risk reward holes encourage creativity and shot shaping. The fairways are wide yet demanding, with carefully positioned bunkers and undulating greens that require precision. Every hole flows naturally through the Algarve landscape, offering variety and serenity in equal measure.
Cypress and Salt curates Quinta do Lago North escapes that reflect the resort’s modern sophistication. Guests enjoy luxury villa or hotel accommodations, curated dining at the resort’s Michelin rated restaurants, spa indulgence, and private access to the surrounding beaches and Ria Formosa Nature Reserve. Quinta do Lago North is golf at its most refined — progressive, elegant, and unmistakably Algarve.
